Earth. Is it just a planet that rotates on its axis and revolves around Sun? Or is it a fascinating, diverse planet that we learn about in middle school? Or it is a planet that gives us everything we need to live and thrive? Yes, everything! And what do we give to this wonderful planet in return? In most cases, nothing! Shouldn’t we call this planet mother because of her giving and caring nature? Mother Earth!
How can we keep our Mother Earth unhealthy and dirty? How can we cause serious and everlasting damage to it? Who should be held responsible for her ailing condition? Can we stop the blame game, the controversy, and do something about our Mother, who is suffering damage that we can plainly see? We must all keep in mind that we have one Earth that we all share, including our children and the future generations. What kind of environment do we want to leave for them?
This damage to Mother Earth is seriously affecting all of us, especially our children. Pollution is the world’s number one killer! Millions of people suffer from pollution and climate-related calamities. Who can solve this problem? Let’s first ask a few questions ourselves and think about them. Do we really need plastic bottled water which is both unhealthy and expensive? Do we need a straw to sip our drink? Do we need plastic bags? Do we need disposable mugs and plates? Do we need disposable items? Do we care where our trash goes and how it is polluting our land, water, and air? Do we need to keep our lights and appliances on when we are using them? Do we need to buy things because they are on sale? The list goes on and on. Remember, any product we buy contributes to pollution. It contaminates our soil, water, and air. Three essential elements of life!
So, what can we do about it? Remember, more and more products are being manufactured because there is a growing demand for them. Who has the power to stop their exponential growth? We do! We have the power to stop this everlasting pollution cycle by a simple decision and that is-not buying things that are not needed. The mantra is “ First Reduce then Reuse and then Recycle”. We each have the power to follow this mantra! Let’s take the action. It’s easy. Let’s do and also tell others to do it. Let’s empower everyone! Can we give this beautiful gift to our children and future generations?
There is an urgent need to work together in order to reduce pollution and waste. Feel free to contact us to discuss how we can work together.
